APN Setup for Your JetSIMGo eSIM

The Access Point Name (APN) is essential for connecting your device to the internet via your mobile network. Think of it as a bridge linking your device to the data network, ensuring smooth connectivity. Here’s how to make sure your JetSIMGo eSIM’s APN settings are correctly configured.

Checking the APN on Your Device

While JetSIMGo eSIMs often auto-configure the APN, it’s helpful to know where to find these settings and how to adjust them manually if needed.

For iPhone Users:

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular > Select Your JetSIMGo eSIM.
  2. Tap on Cellular Data Network to view or modify the APN.

For Android Users:

  1. Open Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Access Point Names (APN).
  2. You may need to tap the Menu button (three dots) to access the APN option.

The APN for JetSIMGo eSIMs is usually pre-installed, but if your phone has APN manually added, you will require to do the reset by below method.

NOTE: Please note down your current APN setup before resetting it for eSIM, after your trip when you need to connect to your main line in your home network you may require to re-capture those settings to access the Data.

Troubleshooting Your APN Settings

If your eSIM connection isn’t working properly, resetting your network settings can often resolve any configuration issues by restoring default settings.

To Reset Network Settings on iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  2. Select Reset > Reset Network Settings, then confirm the reset.

To Reset Network Settings on Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > General Management > Reset.
  2. Tap Reset Mobile Network Settings > Reset Settings to confirm.
