How to Safely Remove an eSIM from Your Device

Deleting an eSIM is simple but important to do correctly. You might want to delete your eSIM for any reason like switching to a new carrier, or after using your travel eSIM, or freeing up space for another plan. Here’s a quick guide on securely deleting your eSIM on both iPhone and Android devices.

Important Reminders Before You Delete

  • Use Up Remaining Data: It’s best to delete your eSIM only after you’ve used up your data plan to avoid losing any leftover connectivity.
  • Avoid Deleting for Setup Issues: If you’re facing setup or connectivity issues, deleting the eSIM might make it unrecoverable—troubleshoot first to see if you can resolve the issue.

Removing an eSIM on iPhone

To delete an eSIM on iPhone:

    1. Open Settings and go to Mobile Data or Cellular Data.

  1. Select the eSIM you’d like to remove.
  2. Scroll down and tap Delete eSIM.

This will remove the eSIM from your iPhone, and you’ll be able to confirm it’s gone by checking that it’s no longer visible under Mobile Data or Cellular.

Removing an eSIM on Android

To delete an eSIM on Android:

    1. Open Settings and go to Connections.
    2. Tap SIM Manager.
    3. Select the eSIM you wish to delete, and then tap Remove.

Troubleshooting Tip

If you accidentally delete an eSIM, reinstalling it might not be possible—especially if it was a single-use setup. In many cases, you can’t even try using the original QR code or manual setup codes if it’s still accessible.

So if your eSIM doesn’t work or shows no coverage, try contacting your carrier provider  (JetSIMGo) or trying more troubleshooting steps.

It’s easy to delete an eSIM from your device using these steps, allowing you to use it with another provider or new connections.
